The James E. Cleary, Jr. Rehabilitation Center at Meridian Manor provides short-term care including treatment for comprehensive joint replacements, hip & femur fractures, hip & knee replacements, surgery recovery, amputations & prosthetics, wound care, orthotics, deconditioning, complications from diabetes, strokes and neuro complications.
The new wing consists of 34 new beds, 12 of which are private rooms. There is a private dining room that can be reserved for special occasions by patients or families. The entire wing is connected by a bright, cheerful hallway with natural light that floods in from five oversized skylights.
The décor is serene and peaceful with fresh, soothing colors, brand new furniture, sparkling light fixtures and more. Each detail of the interior design was carefully selected so that patients will feel comfortable, happy and inspired to get started on their healing journey. The new construction was designed for short-term residents and outpatient rehabilitation care.
Meridian Manor has unveiled a new concierge service to meet the everyday personal needs of our guests. A list of services and times will be provided upon admission. If there is something that can make your stay with us more enjoyable, our concierge service is there to meet your needs and interests.
The James E. Cleary, Jr. Rehabilitation Center has a brand new 2,400 square foot state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation gym located on the east side of the building. There is a new handicap accessible parking area that leads to a separate entrance and provides convenient access for outpatient rehab and families.
The entrance to the rehabilitation gym allows for outpatients to easily enter and exit the building for follow-up rehab. This is important for their continuing aftercare with a familiar therapist who treated them during their stay. This convenient access to therapy is especially important, enabling us to continue to support our patients for a positive experience as they transition home.
Rehab services are available daily and include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The tenured rehab therapists specialize in helping patients to build strength, regain balance, improve range of motion, increase flexibility and boost endurance.
The new facility has a completely functional occupational therapy (OT) suite which includes a mock apartment with activities of daily living such as a kitchen, bathroom, bed and laundry.
Physical therapy (PT) services utilize universal exercise equipment that is wheelchair accessible for upper and lower extremities. Equipment in the therapy gym includes, but is not limited to: a bariatric mat and parallel bars, standard parallel bars, exercise bikes, weights and exercise balls. A Chattanooga machine is available for e-stim, neurostimulation, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and patterned electrical neuromuscular stimulation (PENS). Muscle strength training programs for geriatric guests help to improve strength and balance for a safer and more positive at-home lifestyle.
